Following the resignation, for personal reasons, of both the President of Club de Tenis Luanco and the current directors of the Torneo Tenis Playa de Luanco, the tournament’s Organizing Committee has decided to suspend the event. This was announced via a press release on Monday.

The decision was taken at a meeting held at the Gozón Town Hall in Luanco, Spain on Thursday, December 18, 2025, by the Organizing Committee, which is made up of representatives from Club de Tenis Luanco and the Municipality of Gozón. As a result, the 39th edition of the Torneo de Tenis Playa de Luanco, originally scheduled to take place from July 26 to 29, 2026, has been officially suspended.
