The XXXIX Torneo BDO Tenis Playa Luanco will take place from Sunday, 26 July, to Wednesday, 29 July 2026. The dates were confirmed by the Luanco Tennis Club and the Gozón City Council as they begin preparations for the 39th edition of the event. The selection of dates is based primarily on tide forecasts — essential for scheduling matches on the beach — and on the international tennis calendar to secure the strongest possible player field.

The organisational work is now underway, including the required permits and technical procedures such as obtaining authorization from the Coastal Authority for the construction and staging of this unique tournament. The club has also begun contacting players in an attempt to maintain or improve the sporting level achieved last year, when Richard Gasquet and Dominic Thiem headlined a field that broke all previous records in both on-court spectacle and national and international media reach. Work is also progressing on sponsor renewal and acquisition to ensure the financial resources needed for the event.

The 39th edition of the BDO Luanco Beach Tennis Tournament will continue the innovations introduced in recent years across all areas. Top stars will once again enter the competition from the opening day to boost interest from the start. Activities for children, such as Tenis Parque Luanco, will return, along with sustainability initiatives like the Cabo Peñas Tennis Challenger to raise awareness about marine conservation, and community-oriented projects including the Shop Window Contest, the Virtual Game, and other interactive experiences.

For 2026, the organization is developing new initiatives to further promote the cultural values of Gozón and Asturias through tennis, strengthen the tournament’s relationship with local commercial and cultural sectors, and continue expanding the event with enhanced services and entertainment for all audiences.

Season tickets for the XXXIX BDO Luanco Beach Tennis Tournament will go on sale in the first half of May 2026.
