HAMBURG, May 8, 2025
One of the most prestigious and historic tournaments on the ATP Tour, the Hamburg Open, is entering a new era: Bitpanda, Europe’s leading crypto broker, has been announced as the new title sponsor of the event. Effective immediately, the tournament will officially be known as the Bitpanda Hamburg Open.
Held at the iconic Rothenbaum Tennis Complex, the Hamburg Open is the longest-standing tennis tournament in Germany and a fan-favorite during the international clay-court season. The partnership marks Bitpanda’s debut as title sponsor of an ATP event—adding a new chapter to the tournament’s over 100-year history.
Bitpanda CEO and Co-Founder Eric Demuth shared his personal connection to the tournament:
“I remember this tournament from my childhood—chasing autographs from my idols. It’s great to see that this fantastic ATP 500 event still thrives in the north of Germany. A tournament that attracts international top stars and stands as a true highlight just one week before Roland Garros. That says a lot about the city and this very special venue, with which I associate many wonderful memories.”
The ATP 500 tournament will be held from May 17 to 24. The entry list is led by World No. 1 Jannik Sinner from Italy. For more information, please visit the tournament’s official website.
