The Indoor Oeiras Open will crown its singles champion on Sunday at the Jamor Tennis Complex, with Chris Rodesch and Zsombor Piros advancing to the final of the season’s first ATP Challenger Tour tournament organized by the Portuguese Tennis Federation.

Rodesch was the first to book his place in the championship match after edging past third seed Vilius Gaubas of Lithuania in a gripping encounter decided by two tie-breaks, 7–6(5), 7–6(7). The 26-year-old Luxembourger relied heavily on his powerful serve to deny the Lithuanian—who was seeking a third Challenger final on Portuguese soil—and reach his second career Challenger final in the country.

“I’m very relieved,” Rodesch said afterward. “I created a lot of chances and just needed one small opportunity to get over the line. It was a great match and very special for me, especially after losing my last three semifinals.”

Standing between Rodesch and the title will be Zsombor Piros, who once again confirmed his strong connection with the Jamor courts. The Hungarian overcame Estonia’s Daniil Glinka 7–5, 4–6, 6–1 to reach his third Challenger final in Portugal. A former champion at the Oeiras Open 125 in 2023 and finalist at Indoor Oeiras Open 2 in 2025, Piros continues to deliver some of his best tennis in Oeiras.

“In a way it’s déjà vu,” said Piros, who returned recently from injury. “I didn’t expect to be in a final so early in the year. After a tough period with my body and results, reaching this final means a lot.”

Sunday’s final will mark the first-ever meeting between Rodesch and Piros, with the Luxembourger holding a 1–1 record in Challenger finals and the Hungarian owning a 7–4 mark at this level.

Harper/Stevenson crowned doubles champions

Earlier on Saturday, the doubles title slipped away from Portuguese pair Francisco Rocha and Tiago Torres, who came within four match points of lifting the trophy in their first partnership on the international circuit.

The duo ultimately fell to second seeds Cleeve Harper from Canada and Briton David Stevenson 6–3, 3–6, 12–10, as the experienced pair rallied in a dramatic match tie-break to secure the championship after one hour and 14 minutes.
