LAS PALMAS DE GRAN CANARIA/STARNBERG, November 16, 2025
Alejandro Juan Mañó has clinched his maiden title on the Pro Circuit. The 20-year-old Spaniard lifted the trophy of the ITF World Tennis Tour M15 Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
Juan Mañó, the tournament’s No. 8 seed, had a flawless week on the Canary Islands lifting the trophy without dropping a set. The World No. 960 defeated en route to the championship match his compatriot Sergi Fita Juan in the first round followed by victories over Patrik Munkhammar from Sweden, Italian Federico Bondioli and Xavi Palomar of Spain. In Sunday’s final, Juan Mañó eventually defeated No. 7 seed Ignacio Parisca of Venezuela 6-4, 6-3.
“I’m very happy about the title and for having had the opportunity to experience an incredible tournament from the very first day all the way to this hard-fought final against such a tough opponent as Parisca, whom I’ve now faced twelve times,” said Juan Mañó, quoted by Radio Television Canaria. “It wasn’t easy to win at all — both sets got complicated for me, and I had to save difficult points to finally secure the victory in these spectacular facilities and on an island that has treated all of us wonderfully.”
Juan Mañó earned $2,160 in prize money as well as 15 ATP Ranking points.
“Alejandro deserves the win and, personally, I can only say that my time here has been spectacular, with the singles runner-up finish and the doubles title, which I dedicate to my partner Luccas Helguera,” Parisca said. “In the final I lacked physical strength and mental freshness, but I truly value what I achieved on an island that has given us so much warmth, and I hope to return next year if circumstances allow.”
Tournament director, Susan Sananes was also pleased with the week: “Everything turned out perfectly thanks to the work of all the people who made it possible. We achieved several objectives, but the most important was bringing an event of this magnitude closer to Canary Island players, who were able to reduce costs and compete near home with the support of their own community,” she stated.
