As the ATP Tour enters its final stretch with tournaments across Asia, preparations are already well underway in Stuttgart for next year’s edition of the BOSS OPEN — and tennis fans can look forward to some major news. Taylor Fritz, the reigning champion and current World No. 4, has officially confirmed his participation, aiming to defend his title at the grass-court highlight, which will take place from June 6 to 14, 2026, at the TC Weissenhof. Joining him will be fellow American Tommy Paul and German crowd favorite Jan-Lennard Struff, both of whom have also announced their intention to compete.

For Taylor Fritz, global brand ambassador for BOSS, his triumph in Stuttgart this past June was particularly special. The 27-year-old American showcased superb form throughout the week, winning the title without dropping a set. In a high-quality final, Fritz defeated Germany’s top star Alexander Zverev 6-3, 7-6(0) on a packed Centre Court before celebrating his victory with pure joy.

“It was a dream week for me. I’m super happy to have started my grass-court season this way and to have lifted the BOSS OPEN trophy, which is something really special,” said Fritz, who has now captured five of his ten ATP titles on grass. Looking ahead to next year, he added: “I feel very comfortable in Stuttgart — the event is perfectly organized, and the fans create an amazing atmosphere. I’m excited to return to the Weissenhof and hope to continue where I left off this year.”

Another US-American known for his strength on grass is Tommy Paul, who has also confirmed his 2026 appearance. With his aggressive forehand and natural instinct to move forward to the net, Paul’s game is tailor-made for grass. The 27-year-old proved that last season, winning the Queen’s Club Championships in London and reaching the Wimbledon quarterfinals, solidifying his status as one of the world’s most complete all-surface players.

German fans will also be delighted to know that Jan-Lennard Struff will return to Stuttgart in 2026. The 35-year-old from Warstein has been a fixture at the BOSS OPEN, and his best result came in 2023, when he reached the final but fell narrowly to Frances Tiafoe in a dramatic third-set tiebreak. “Playing tournaments in Germany is always special, especially here in Stuttgart where the atmosphere and the crowd energy are fantastic,” said Struff, who recently impressed by reaching the Round of 16 at the US Open.

Tournament Director Edwin Weindorfer expressed his excitement about the early commitments:
“It’s a great honor for the BOSS OPEN that Taylor Fritz has already announced his intention to defend his title in Stuttgart. We’re also very pleased to welcome Tommy Paul and Jan-Lennard Struff back next year. The confirmations from these three top players once again highlight the importance and strong position of the BOSS OPEN at the start of the grass-court season on the ATP Tour.”
