The North American hard-court swing continues with the sixth ATP Masters 1000 event of the season, the National Bank Open Presented by Rogers. For the first time in its history, the tournament will adopt a 12-day format.

Top seed Alexander Zverev could face an early showdown against #NextGenATP Brazilian Joao Fonseca in Toronto after being placed in the same section of the draw. Meanwhile, US-American stars Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe could renew their intriguing head-to-head rivalry in the quarterfinals.

Second seed Taylor Fritz from the United Stated and third-seeded Italian Lorenzo Musetti will also be among the favourites.

Felix Auger-Aliassime, Denis Shapovalov and Gabriel Diallo headline the Canadian contingent on home soil. Main draw action at the ATP Masters 1000 event gets underway Sunday.
