The Brasil Tennis Classic at Esporte Clube Pinheiros in Sao Paulo, part of the ITF World Tennis Tour M25 Circuit, turned into a landmark week for Brazil’s Guto Miguel. The 16-year-old not only earned his first ATP singles ranking point, but also claimed his first professional title, lifting the doubles trophy alongside his older brother Felipe Miguel in their first tournament as a team.

In Sunday’s final, the Miguel brothers dominated the Argentine duo Tadeo Meneo and Bautista Vilicich, sealing a 6-1, 6-2 victory in just 51 minutes in front of a packed crowd.

“A very special final for me,” said Felipe Miguel. “It was our first time playing together, we were representing Brazil against two Argentines, and we came out on top. I’m really happy.”

“For me, this was a very positive week and the beginning of a professional career,” added Guto Miguel. “I got my first ITF doubles title, my first ATP point in singles, and to do it all alongside my older brother, who is very special to me, makes it even better. We only see each other during his vacations, so I’m grateful to the CBT and Instituto Sports for the wild cards, which we made the most of. Now we’re all in for next week.”

With the title, the Miguel brothers earned $1,782 USD in prize money and 25 ATP Doubles Ranking points. The Argentine finalists took home $1,023 USD and 16 points.

All four finalists also received Vivara watches and a coin toss token embedded with a diamond, a special touch to commemorate a memorable tournament for the rising Brazilian talents.
