German Junior Tennis Championships 2025: Rising Stars Shine In Ludwigshafen

LUDWIGSHAFEN, May 31, 2025

From May 26 to 31, the German Junior Championships presented by Generali/DVAG brought together the country’s top 192 young tennis players in Ludwigshafen to compete for 12 national titles. Among the standout champions in singles were Francesca Parcelli, Eric Müller, Lilly Greinert, Luys Calin, Carla Pollmüller, and Jost Neermann.

DTB Vice President Helmut Schmidbauer was on-site to personally congratulate the winners and emphasized the importance of the event: “Winning a national championship is a major milestone in the early careers of our young talents. I’m confident that this success will motivate them to continue working hard toward their dream of becoming professional tennis players.”

U16 Champions: Müller and Parcelli

In the boys’ U16 final, Eric Müller (Bavarian Tennis Association) showcased his composure and consistency, defeating Ilian Mechbal (Tennis Association of the Lower Rhine) 6-4, 6-3 after 1 hour and 29 minutes. Müller, a member of the German Tennis Federation’s junior development squad, impressed with his focused performance.

The girls’ U16 title went to Francesca Parcelli (Württemberg Tennis Federation), the tournament’s No. 2 seed, who advanced after Tamina Kochta retired due to injury at 6-1, 2-2.

Dominant Performances in U14

Lilly Greinert (Baden Tennis Association) claimed the U14 girls’ crown with a solid 6-2, 6-3 win over Finnja Isbruch (Westphalian Tennis Federation). On the boys’ side, Luys Calin (Lower Saxony-Bremen) defended his reputation as one of Germany’s brightest young talents. The 2024 U13 champion made quick work of Julius Feldmann (Hamburg Tennis Federation), cruising to a 6-1, 6-0 victory in just 58 minutes.

U13: Future Stars Take the Stage

In the youngest age group, Carla Pollmüller (Bavarian Tennis Association) dominated the girls’ U13 final, overpowering Luise Meißner (Lower Saxony-Bremen) 6-2, 6-0. Meanwhile, Jost Neermann (also from Bavaria) secured the boys’ title by defeating Ilija Plavsic (Lower Rhine) 7-5, 6-2 in a high-quality match.
