The sixth edition of the Challenger Citta di Lugano offered a total prize pool of €97,640 and was held at the Centro Esposizioni in Lugano, a picturesque city in southern Switzerland, located in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino. Nestled on the shores of Lake Lugano and surrounded by the foothills of the Alps, the city blends Swiss efficiency with Mediterranean charm. Palm trees line the waterfront promenade, while colorful piazzas and cafés reflect its close cultural ties to neighboring Italy.

Lugano is known for its mild climate, vibrant cultural scene, and strong financial sector. Visitors can explore Parco Ciani along the lake, take a funicular up Monte Brè or Monte San Salvatore for panoramic views, or enjoy art and music at the LAC Lugano Arte e Cultura center.
