At 26 years old, Pol Martin Tiffon has taken the next major step in his career, capturing his first ATP Challenger Tour title at the Bangkok Open 2 in Nonthaburi, Thailand. After claiming 12 trophies on the ITF World Tennis Tour, the Spaniard’s breakthrough victory marks a long-awaited and well-earned milestone on the Challenger circuit.
Martin Tiffon battled his way to the championship match with wins in the top half of the draw over South African qualifier Philip Henning, fifth-seeded Japanese Kaichi Uchida, Marat Sharipov of Russia and No. 2 seed Timofey Skatov from Kazakhstan.
In Saturday’s singles final, Martin Tiffon fought past local wild card entry Maximus Jones, winning 6-4, 3-6, 6-4. The World No. 373 from Barcelona withstood nine aces and broke his opponent’s serve four times to seal victory in two hours and 11 minutes.

Martin Tiffon pocketed $9,500 in prize money as well as 50 ATP Ranking points.
The Bangkok Open 2 was hosted by the The Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand and offered a total prize pool of $63,000. Nonthaburi is a vibrant province just north of Bangkok, blending urban energy with a more relaxed, local atmosphere.
