ANGERS/STARNBERG, December 7, 2025

Kamilla Rakhimova was crowned champion of the fifth edition of the Open Angers Loire Trélazé. Following winners Vitalia Diatchenko (2021), Clara Burel (2023), and Alycia Parks (2022, 2024), Rakhimova becomes the latest player to lift the trophy in 2025.

Rakhimova succeeds Parks

A year ago ranked No. 60 and now World No. 110, Rakhimova delivered an impressive run throughout the tournament. She defeated Alina Korneeva, Linda Klimovicova Mona Barthel, and second seed Antonia Ruzic after a gruelling three-hour semifinal on Saturday.

In Sunday’s final, the Russian-born player, who will officially switch nationality to Uzbekistan on Monday, remained steady and composed against Tamara Korpatsch, securing a 6-3, 7-6 victory after nearly two and a half hours of play. It marks her third career WTA 125 final and her second title, adding to her 2024 triumph in Guadalajara after also reaching the Stanford final in 2023.

“I tried to stay myself and keep playing my game. It was a difficult match,” Rakhimova said. “I’ll keep working to achieve great things. Winning here means a lot to me; that’s why I came. It was my first time in Angers, and the crowd was fantastic all week, with a great atmosphere. We are really well received here; it’s a wonderful event.”

Korpatsch finds redemption in doubles

Despite losing the singles final, Tamara Korpatsch still left Angers with a title. Paired with France’s Jessika Ponchet, she captured the doubles crown by defeating second seeds Jesika Maleckova and Miriam Skoch 6–3, 6–2.
