ROTTERDAM, November 12, 2025 (Media Release)
Tallon Griekspoor, the highest-ranked Dutch tennis player, will compete in the 2026 edition of the ABN AMRO Open. The World No. 25 will make his ninth appearance at Rotterdam Ahoy. In both 2023 and 2024, he reached the semifinals of the ATP 500 tournament.
Tournament Director Richard Krajicek said: “The matches that fans enjoy most are often those between Dutch players and the world’s best. In recent years, Tallon has shown that with the support of the fans, he can always deliver something extra. We’re delighted that he’ll be back again in 2026.”
Title in Mallorca
Earlier this year, Griekspoor claimed the title at the ATP 250 tournament in Mallorca. It marked his third ATP Tour title, following earlier triumphs in Pune and at the Libéma Open, both in 2023. Thanks in part to his tournament victory, he returned to the top 30 of the ATP Rankings. His current world No. 25 ranking nearly equals his career-high of No. 21, achieved in November 2023.
Griekspoor in Rotterdam
Griekspoor made his Rotterdam debut in 2017. A year later, he caused a major upset by defeating multiple Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka. His best results came in 2023 and 2024, when he reached the semifinals on both occasions. In both years, he was stopped by current world No. 1 Jannik Sinner.
“Tallon’s place in the world’s top 30 is well deserved,” Krajicek said. “He’s a player who can challenge any top opponent and has multiple weapons at his disposal. Dutch fans have embraced him for good reason; he always fights hard on court. It wouldn’t be a surprise if this time he takes that final step to reach the final.”
