Pedro Cachin has announced his retirement from professional tennis, bringing an end to a remarkable career that saw him reach a career-high ranking of World No. 48 and capture the ATP Tour title at the Swiss Open in Gstaad in 2023. He also lifted six trophies on the ATP Challenger Tour.
The 30-year-old Argentine had been struggling with physical issues for more than a year and had slipped to World No. 665 in the ATP Rankings, far from his peak form. In an emotional message shared with fans, Cachín reflected on some of the highlights of his career – including memorable matches against Rafael Nadal in Madrid and Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon.
Known for his fighting spirit and consistency on clay, Cachin’s journey from the ITF Pro Circuit to becoming an ATP champion was one of perseverance and resilience. His victory in Gstaad remains a defining moment in his career and a testament to his dedication to the sport.
