For the last time this season, the ATP Challenger Tour is back in Germany for the Hamburg Ladies & Gents Cup. The main draw of the hard-court event features a mix of rising German talents and strong international competition.
Reigning junior French Open champion Niels McDonald will face Cedrik-Marcel Stebe in an all-German first-round encounter. Fourth seed Justin Engel awaits a qualifier as his opening opponent, but if successful, he would face the winner of the McDonald–Stebe match in the second round.

Defending champion Henri Squire has been handed a tough task right from the start, drawing No. 3 seed Gauthier Onclin of Belgium in a highly anticipated opening-round clash. Top seed at the ATP Challenger Tour 50 event in Northern Germany is Daniel Merida of Spain, who takes on Belgian Michael Geerst in the first round. Chris Rodesch from Luxembourg is seeded second and plays Maxim Mrva of the Czech Republic in his opening encounter.
