ITF Press Release, October 4, 2025
The International Tennis Federation has confirmed the line up for the 2025 ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Finals – the junior equivalent of the ATP and WTA Finals – to be staged at the Sichuan International Tennis Center in Chengdu, China from 22-26 October.
The Finals bring together the world’s top eight boys and top eight girls, aged 18 and under, who have secured their places through ranking points earned on the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors over the past 12 months.
Line up for the 2025 ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Finals:
In Chengdu, players will be divided into two groups of four, competing in a three-day round robin format to determine the semi-finalists. For the first time, the winners will each receive 1000 ranking points – equivalent to a junior grand slam – providing a potentially decisive boost in the race to finish the year as junior World No,1.
Success at the Finals offers far-reaching opportunities. A strong year end ITF Junior Ranking provides access to the ITF Junior Accelerator Programme, supporting the transition to higher-level professional tournament opportunities. In addition, competitors will share in a record $220,000 USD in travel grants, with champions in both the boys’ and girls’ events receiving up to $23,000.
The ITF Junior Finals in Chengdu – host venue of an ATP 250 event – offers tour-level experiences and immerses players in Chinese culture.
Since its debut in 2015, the event has played an important role in the rise of many of today’s stars. Grand Slam champions Marketa Vondrousova, Elena Rybakina, Sofia Kenin and Jelena Ostapenko have all competed in Chengdu, alongside the likes of Casper Ruud, Holger Rune, Andrey Rublev, Qinwen Zheng, Taylor Fritz, Leylah Fernandez, Lorenzo Musetti, Marta Kostyuk and Camila Osorio.
The ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Finals stand as a landmark event on the player pathway – both a celebration of junior excellence and a proven step towards the elite professional game.
Matt Byford, Executive Director, Juniors, said: “The ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Finals stand as the pinnacle of the junior calendar and a crucial milestone on the player pathway. Showcasing the world’s best boys and girls, the event celebrates their achievements over the past 52 weeks while preparing them for a future at the highest levels of professional tennis. With enhanced ranking points, record travel grants, and the chance to compete on a truly global stage, the Finals offer the next generation of players a unique platform to launch the next chapter of their careers.”
