Bolivian Hugo Dellien has captured the title of the Unicredit Czech Open. The No. 4 seed of the ATP Challenger Tour 100 tournament in Prostejov defeated fifth favourite Chun-Hsin Tseng from Chinese Taipei 6-3, 6-4 in Saturday’s singles final.
Dellien battled his way into the championship match through the top half of the draw with wins over Matteo Martineau of France, local wild card entry Maxim Mrva, Dimitar Kuzmanov of Bulgaria and Vitaliy Sachko from Ukraine.
Dellien, ranked World No. 90, saved both of the two break points he faced and capitalized on two of his own four break-point chances to secure victory in one hour and 32 minutes.

“It was a wonderful week for me. I felt in good shape from the first day, and it improved with every match I played,” said Dellien. “I had respect for my opponent before the final. He didn’t lose a single set on his way to the title match. It was an even match with a better ending for me.”
By lifting his 14th career trophy on the ATP Challenger Tour, his first of the season, the 31-year-old Trinidad native pocketed €20,630 in prize money as well as 100 ATP Ranking points.
The 32nd edition of the Unicredit Czech Open offered a total prize pool of €145,250 and was hosted by the TK Prostejov, located in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. Known for its rich textile history and elegant architecture, the city combines a peaceful atmosphere with cultural flair. It boasts beautiful historic buildings, such as the National House designed by renowned architect Jan Kotěra, and a vibrant town square.
