Ricardas Berankis captured his second consecutive ATP Challenger title in Asia, winning Sunday’s final in Nanjing 6-3, 6-4 over Grega Zemlja.
It has been almost the same result as seven days ago, when both men faced each other in the title match of Gwangju. Back then, Berankis won 6-3, 6-2 and he was also the dominant player in China.
The world number 62 won 86% of his first service points, saved all five break points he faced, converting two of his own. He prevailed in one hour and eight minutes lifting his seventh Challenger career title.
Berankis takes away $7,200 in prize money as well as 90 ATP ranking points.
