World number 86 Mikhail Kukushkin is leading the official acceptance list, followed by number 89 Santiago Giraldo and Marco Cecchinato, ranked 93rd. With Jan-Lennard Struff, Michael Berrer, who captured his 11th ATP Challenger title in León last Sunday, Mischa Zverev and Daniel Brands, four Germans will also appear in the 16-man-qualfiying draw. The biggest name, however, will be the one of two time Davis Cup champion Radek Stepanek.

“With a cut-off at 171st position, this year’s entry list for the qualification is really great. The specatators can expect competitve and attractive matches right from the start of the tournament. It will be worth to attend the first weekend with the qualifying encounters taking place,” tournament director Patrik Kühnen stated.
