Peter Polansky is the champion of the September Columbus Challenger held on hard courts at the Ohio State University. The 31-year-old from Canada defeated US-American J.J. Wolf 6-3, 7-6(4) in Sunday’s singles final.

Polansky dropped just one set all tournament and was the dominant player in the championship match. The No. 4 seed sent down nine aces and broke his opponent’s serve two times to seal victory in one hour and 38 minutes.

By lifting his fourth ATP Challenger career trophy, his first of the season, Polansky takes away from the United States $7,200 in prize money as well as 90 ATP Ranking points. He rises 33 spots to World No. 167.

On Saturday, Martin Redlicki and Jackson Withrow took the doubles title. The No. 4 seeds won the all-US-American final against Nathan Pasha and Max Schnur 6-4, 7-6(4) in one hour and 20 minutes.
