Teymuraz Gabashvili claimed his tenth ATP Challenger title, winning the 13th edition of the US-$ 50,000 hard court event in Fergana, a city located in the far east of Uzbekistan.

The top-seeded Russian benefited from the retirement of his opponent and fellow countryman Alexander Kudryavtsev after only 26 minutes at 6-2, 1-0 due to right hip injury.

Up to this point, Gabahvili hit seven aces and capitalized on all of his three break points. It was the second time the world number 58 emerged victorious from the all-Russian-affair, following his win over Kudryavtsev at the US-Open 2014.

Pablo Carreῆo-Busta also claimed his tenth ATP Challenger title, lifting the trophy at the new € 42,500 Blu-Express.com Tennis Cup in Perugia.

The 23-year-old Spaniard defeated Matteo Viola in Sunday’s final, winning 6-2, 6-2. Carreῆo-Busta, who appeared in his only second ATP Challenger event of the season, needed to save only one break point and capitalized on four of his own. The tournament’s top-seed converted his first match point after exactly one hour of play, taking his sixth Challenger title on Italian soil.
