Strong Brazilian Contingent Headlines Entry List For Sao Leo Open Challenger

SAO LEOPOLDO/STARNBERG, March 12, 2026

The ATP has released the official entry list for the 2026 Sao Leo Open, an ATP Challenger 75 event scheduled to take place from March 28 to April 5 at the Sao Leopoldo Tenis Clube in Sao Leopoldo, Brazil.

The first list for the main draw features a strong Brazilian presence, with eight players currently ranked among the country’s Top 10. Among them are Joao Lucas Reis da Silva, Thiago Monteiro, Felipe Meligeni Alves, Pedro Boscardin Dias, Matheus Pucinelli de Almeida, Gustavo Heide, Igor Marcondes and Daniel Dutra da Silva.

International players include Chile’s Tomas Barrios Vera, currently ranked No. 115 in the world, and Peru’s Juan Pablo Varillas, a former world No. 60 and past champion of the tournament.

The Sao Leo Open is one of the most important professional tournaments in Brazil and regularly attracts players who have been ranked among the world’s Top 100. As an ATP Challenger 75 event, it offers a total prize purse of $112,000 and valuable ranking points on the professional circuit.
