The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix has long been the flagship of Porsche’s worldwide involvement in world’s tennis. Like the Porsche brand, the tournament stands for tradition and innovation. As the WTA Tour’s oldest indoor event, dating back to 1978, the tournament has always been a showcase for the best and brightest talent in the women’s game – and it’s also the Tour’s annual kickoff to the European spring clay season.

After already securing early commitments from current World No. 1 and Aryna Sabalenka and World No. 2 Iga Swiatek in recent weeks, on Thursday the tournament added World No. 4 Coco Gauff of the United States and World No. 7 Jasmine Paolini of Italy to the mix of big names coming to Stuttgart for this year’s tournament, which takes place inside Porsche Arena from April 11-19.

With the addition of Gauff, the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix has now secured three of the WTA Tour’s Top 4 players. Plus, Paolini’s presence means four of the current Top 10 players will be competing for the top prize of a Porsche 911 Carrera S Cabriolet in Cartagena Yellow Metallic.

Last season, Gauff used the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix as a great preparation for the French Open. Just four weeks after reaching the quarterfinals in Stuttgart, the 21-year-old American from Florida won her second career Grand Slam title in Paris. In 2023, Gauff became the first teenager to win the US Open since Serena Williams in 1999. In 2024, Gauff won the WTA Finals title. Overall, Gauff has won 11 WTA Tour singles titles and 11 WTA Tour doubles titles, including the 2024 Roland-Garros crown with Katerina Siniakova. This year will be Gauff’s fourth appearance in Stuttgart.

Meanwhile, Paolini, who was a semifinalist in Stuttgart last year, made her move up the rankings in 2024, when she won the WTA 1000 event in Dubai and was the runner-up at both Roland-Garros and Wimbledon. She also won an Olympic gold medal in doubles with fellow Italian Sara Errani. She got in the mood for last year’s Porsche Tennis Grand Prix event by visiting the Porsche Museum – and the 911 has been her dream Porsche ever since.
