OBERHACHING, February 13, 2026
Quarterfinal day at the TennisBase Open in Oberhaching delivered high-quality tennis and tight finishes. The headline act was the all-German duel between former champions Marvin Moeller and Daniel Masur, with Moeller controlling key moments to seal a 6–3, 6–3 victory and secure a place in the semifinals of the ITF World Tennis Tour M15 event in Bavaria. Using his variety and counterpunching skills, the Hamburg native took the initiative early and finished in style with four straight aces to close out the match.
In another quarterfinal, Swiss fourth seed Mika Brunold survived a marathon against France’s Mae Malige. Brunold led by a set and a break, was pegged back, then recovered from a late wobble in the decider to prevail 6–4, 3–6, 7–6(8) after nearly three hours.
Teenager Niels McDonald came within touching distance of a major upset against top seed Paul Jubb. After taking the first set, McDonald matched the favorite stride for stride and forced a deciding tie-break, where Jubb edged it to advance 3–6, 6–1, 7–6(5). Jubb will now face Italy’s Stefano Napolitano, who used his experience to turn around his match against qualifier Yaroslav Demin, winning 6–7(5), 6–2, 6–3.
