OBERHACHING, February 6, 2026
To mark the 10th anniversary of the TennisBase Open, local favorites and former champions will take center stage in Oberhaching, Germany. Alongside TennisBase pros Max Rehberg and Daniel Masur – who lifted the trophy at the ITF World Tennis Tour M15 event in 2023 – Marvin Möller and Michael Agwi will also return. Möller claimed the title in 2022, while Agwi triumphed in 2024 at the tournament scheduled for February 8–15.
Home support and familiar conditions will be especially important for Max Rehberg, from Landsham, and Daniel Masur, who has been based near Lake Starnberg for several years. Both arrive in strong form. The 22-year-old Rehberg crowned his comeback from an eight-month injury layoff caused by pubic bone inflammation by winning the ITF M15 tournament in Oslo at his first event back, then followed it up with a quarterfinal run from qualifying at the NovaWorld Phan Thiet Challenger in Vietnam. Masur, 31, also returns with silverware in his bag, having claimed his third career title at the ITF World Tennis Tour M25 event in Nussloch last week.
Former champions Möller and Agwi return
In addition to Masur, the 2023 champion in Oberhaching, fans can look forward to two more former winners. Hamburg’s Marvin Möller ended a nearly five-year title drought in 2022 – his first trophy since 2017 – and now owns eight ITF titles overall. Irish-born, Berlin-raised Michael Agwi will also return with fond memories: in 2024, the Irish Davis Cup player impressed with his aggressive game and denied local favorite Rehberg a home victory in the final.
Junior stars Schönhaus and McDonald to showcase their talent
Spectators will also get a look at two of last year’s standout juniors, Max Schönhaus and Niels McDonald. The 18-year-old Schönhaus not only won the ITF World Tennis Tour Junior Finals featuring the world’s top eight juniors, but also reached the Wimbledon boys’ semifinals and the French Open final. In Paris, he was stopped by fellow German Niels McDonald from Schwerin, who capped his dream week at Roland Garros by lifting the trophy.
Wildcards for Barsukov, Reisach and Dullinger
Leipzig’s Nikolai Barsukov, who recently earned his first main-draw win at Challenger level in Vietnam, will receive a main-draw wildcard in Oberhaching. The same applies to Vincent Reisach from Plattling, who recently collected his first ATP Ranking points at the Cadolzburg Open on carpet, and Vincent Dullinger from Holzkirchen, who celebrated his first ITF M25 main-draw victory in Nussloch. Wildcards for qualifying go to Munich’s Jeremy Schifris, Maximilian Erhardt from Siegsdorf, Bavarian Tennis Association (BTV) academy player Timo Meyer, Munich’s Dominik Matic, and Aiden Spoolder of TC Rot-Weiss Freising.
Jubb and Brunold lead the entry list
The entry list is headed by 26-year-old Briton Paul Jubb (ATP No. 366). Swiss Mika Brunold (ATP No. 453) returns with great memories as well, having won the Dunlop Bavarian Junior Winter Championships at TennisBase in 2022. He is currently set to be the No. 2 seed at this year’s event.
