HONG KONG, December 28, 2025 (Media Release)

From now until 11 January, tennis fans, tram lovers, and the general public can enjoy a unique ride on a special double-deck tram themed for the Bank of China Hong Kong Tennis Open 2026. Running daily along its regular route on Hong Kong Island’s northern corridor, this limited-edition tram offers everyone a chance to soak in the excitement of the tennis season while traveling through the city.

This special-edition tram is a creative initiative by the organisers of the Bank of China Hong Kong Tennis Open; it offers a mobile and immersive experience that allows the public to enjoy the tournament atmosphere at the price of a standard tram fare — truly bringing tennis vibe into the community. The exterior design features a deep red as the main color, showcasing the event’s iconic identity and complemented by dynamic tennis elements. Its bold visuals and clear branding make this tram an eye-catching highlight as it travels across Hong Kong Island, inviting everyone to experience the charm of tennis.

Celebrating the excitement and wonder of tennis and BOCHKTO 2026, one of the opening events of the global ATP Tour season, the tram takes its inspiration from the non-stop thrills of a world class tennis match.

The BOCHKTO 2026 tram is more than a striking visual on Hong Kong’s streets — it is a living representation of how sport can transcend boundaries and become part of everyday life. By transforming one of the city’s most iconic modes of transport into a celebration of world-class tennis, this initiative bridges the gap between the global stage and the local community. It makes tennis accessible, relatable, and woven into the cultural fabric of Hong Kong.

Every detail of the tram’s design tells a story. The deep-red exterior, emblazoned with the Bank of China Hong Kong Tennis Open branding, carries the energy of the tournament through the city’s bustling avenues. Inside, passengers are invited to step into the game itself. The lower deck evokes the intensity of Centre Court with crisp white court lines underfoot, dynamic ball trajectory graphics, and authentic racket-grip handrails that offer a tactile link to the sport. These elements transform a simple commute into an immersive experience, allowing riders to feel the rhythm and precision of tennis in motion.

Ascending to the upper deck, the atmosphere shifts to the vantage point of a spectator. Wire-net installations, and classic analogue scoreboards recreate the nostalgia of live matches. During the tournament period from 4th to 11th January, passengers can imagine themselves courtside, sharing the anticipation and excitement that define the BOCHKTO experience. For fans heading to the tournament, the tram becomes a symbolic gateway to the event; for others, it offers a taste of the spectacle, sparking curiosity and connection. This initiative is not just about transport — it’s about uniting people through sport, turning a city ride into a shared celebration of passion, heritage, and community.

The tram will service the general public and promote the global tennis stars competing at the ATP season opener. Fares for this special experience are an economical HK$3.30 for adults, HK$1.60 for children under-12, and HK$1.50 for seniors over 65, the same as the regular trams.

Michael Cheng, President of the Hong Kong, China Tennis Association said: “We are delighted to bring the Bank of China Hong Kong Tennis Open Tram to fans in Hong Kong. This new initiative adds a fun new dimension to our tournament, and introduces a unique Hong Kong experience for tennis lovers who can take it straight to the doorstep of Victoria Park Tennis Centre Court. Trams in Hong Kong are iconic and popular for locals and tourists alike. I encourage everyone to take this special edition Ding Ding to the championship, which will no doubt add to the overall fan experience.”
