LTA Media Release, November 4, 2025
The LTA has today announced that two-time champion Carlos Alcaraz and 2025 finalist Amanda Anisimova have confirmed their return to The Queen’s Club for the 2026 HSBC Championships.
The announcement comes as tickets go on Priority Window sale from 10am today ahead of general sale opening at 10am on Tuesday 11 November. The WTA event will be held from 6-14 June ahead of the men’s tournament from 13-21 June.
2025 marked the highly successful return of a women’s WTA 500 event to London for the first time in over 50 years, creating a new fortnight of world-class tennis alongside the long-standing ATP 500 tournament. 133,000 spectators attended the new look HSBC Championships across the two weeks, with 78% of those who bought tickets for the WTA week attending an event at The Queen’s Club for the first time, demonstrating the significance of the women’s event in attracting new audiences.
The combined BBC TV audience for the two weeks saw viewing figures surge compared to the equivalent period the previous year, with an average audience of 651,000 – a 51% increase on 2024. Digital engagement also reached record levels with 4.4 million social interactions and over 2.16 million YouTube views.
Anisimova’s impressive performance at The Queen’s Club this summer sparked an incredible run for the 24-year-old, who went on to reach her first Grand Slam final at Wimbledon before also making the final of the US Open, winning a WTA 1000 in Beijing and qualifying for this week’s WTA Finals.
World No.2 Alcaraz will return to The Queen’s Club for the fourth time in his career having won titles in 2023 and 2025. He said: “The HSBC Championships is a very special tournament for me and one I look forward to every year. This year was incredible to come back and win the title for a second time in front of the amazing crowds in London – I couldn’t have asked for a better week.
“Coming back as the defending champion is going to be a challenge against these top players, but I’m excited to go out there and fight to lift the trophy again.”
Chris Pollard, LTA Managing Director, Commercial and Operations said: “We’re extremely proud of the success of the 2025 HSBC Championships, bringing the WTA event back to London after more than 50 years drove record levels of engagement and attendances across both weeks. Naturally our ambition is to build on this success and make next year even bigger and better, so to have these two stars of the game already making their commitment to return to The Queen’s Club next year is fantastic.”
The return of the WTA tournament has not only attracted new spectators to The Queen’s Club but has also unlocked significant impact on the sport in the city as a marquee event in the summer in which London became the global capital for women’s sport. £200,000 was raised for the LTA Tennis Foundation via activity during the tournaments and in June, the LTA announced a new three-year partnership with the Mayor of London – Rally Together London – a £500,000 investment that will increase access to tennis for thousands of young people in the city.
