ROTTERDAM/STARNBERG, October 30, 2025
Former World No. 3 Stefanos Tsitsipas will make his eighth appearance at the ABN AMRO Open in 2026. Following Carlos Alcaraz and Alex de Minaur, Tsitsipas is the third player to confirm his participation.
Tournament Director Richard Krajicek stated in a press release: “Stefanos Tsitsipas has been one of the crowd favorites in Rotterdam for years. He always brings great energy and perfectly fits the atmosphere of the tournament. With his attacking style, he’s the kind of player we love to have every year. It’s great that he has once again committed to coming.”

On the road back
After five consecutive years in the world’s top 10, 2025 has proven to be a transitional year for Tsitsipas. A back injury and a leg injury affected much of his season, causing him to drop out of the top 10 despite winning the title in Dubai. “Stefanos is the kind of player who can be back at the top at any moment. It’s only a matter of time before we see him in the top 10 again. Hopefully, the ABN AMRO Open will help him take another big step forward,” Krajicek added.
Previous appearances in Rotterdam
Tsitsipas made his debut in Rotterdam in 2017 with a wildcard and has since become a mainstay in world tennis. In 2021, he reached the semifinals, and a year later he made it to the final, where Félix Auger-Aliassime proved too strong. Earlier this year, he competed thanks to an A+ wildcard.
Krajicek: “Stefanos has a special history with us. He played his first ATP matches here in Rotterdam and has since established himself among the world’s elite. His return in 2026 highlights his strong connection with the tournament and our fans.”
