LONDON, October 17, 2025 (ITIA Press Release)

The International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) today confirms that Leonardo Aboian, a 27-year-old tennis player from Argentina, has been provisionally suspended, pending the full consideration of charges under the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program (TACP).

Aboian, who reached a career-high world singles ranking of 229 in April 2025, has been provisionally suspended under section F.3.b.i.4 of the TACP, which reads:

‘There is a likelihood that the Covered Person has committed a Major Offense and in the absence of a Provisional Suspension, the integrity of tennis would be undermined and the harm resulting from the absence of a Provisional Suspension outweighs the Hardship of the Provisional Suspension on the Covered Person.’

Aboian has been provisionally suspended since 19 September 2025. The player elected not to appeal its imposition to an independent Anti-Corruption Hearing Officer (AHO).

While provisionally suspended, Aboian is prohibited from playing in, coaching at, or attending any tennis event authorised or sanctioned by the members of the ITIA (ATP, ITF, WTA, Tennis Australia, Fédération Française de Tennis, Wimbledon and USTA) or any national association.
