ORLEANS/STARNBERG, September 27, 2025
The 20th edition of the Co’Met Orleans Open will crown a new champion on Sunday after top seed Raphael Collignon and Spain’s Martin Landaluce booked their places in the final.
Collignon, the No. 1 seed from Belgium, overcame a slow start and a lack of confidence in a tense opening set before finding his rhythm in the second to defeat Germany’s promising youngster Justin Engel 7-6(3), 6-3. Engel, who impressed throughout the week, showed why he is considered one of the rising names on the tour but could not stop Collignon’s late surge. The World No. 93 converted two of his three break-point chances to succeed in one hour and 37 minutes.

The second semi-final lived up to its billing as the clash between fifth seed Landaluce and ninth seed Mark Lajal produced three fiercely contested sets. Landaluce ultimately prevailed 6-3, 6-7(6), 6-3 in two hours and 26 minutes.
The 19-year-old Madrid native, who earned his maiden title on the ATP Challenger Tour last year in Olbia, struck eight aces and won 82 per cent of his first-service points to reach his first championship match of the season.

The day also featured a special ceremony celebrating the tournament’s 20th anniversary. Following the first singles semi-final, a commemorative film highlighting two decades of the event was shown. Ball kids, long-time volunteers and the entire organising team were invited onto the court before ATP Challenger Tour Vice President Julia Boyadjieva presented a 20th anniversary trophy to tournament director Didier Gerard, with tournament ambassador Sebastien Grosjean also in attendance.
