STARNBERG, September 24, 2025
Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner return to Asia, leading the fields at the Kinoshita Group Japan Open Tennis Championships and China Open, respectively.
World No. 1 Alcaraz is making his debut in Tokyo, where former champion Taylor Fritz, Holger Rune and Casper Ruud also compete. The ATP 500 event runs from 24 September to 30 September.

“I think the ranking is just a number,” Alcaraz said after his first match back at World No. 1, a Laver Cup defeat to Taylor Fritz. “It shouldn’t give you the pressure that you have to win everything and every match. I’m there, but you have to still do the things that you were doing before.”
In Beijing, the 2023 titlist Sinner takes to court for the first time since his US Open final defeat to Alcaraz. The Italian is joined in the draw by second seed Alexander Zverev, Top 10 stars Alex de Minaur and Lorenzo Musetti and former finalist Daniil Medvedev. The ATP 500 runs from 25 September to 1 October.
