LONDON, August 14, 2025 (ATP Press Release)

ATP has announced a record $18.3 million to be distributed to players through profit sharing from the 2024 ATP Tour season. The ATP’s 50-50 profit-sharing formula splits profits generated at ATP Masters 1000s – above on-site base prize money – equally between players and tournaments.

First introduced in 2022, profit sharing is a central part of ATP’s OneVision strategic plan, designed to align the financial interests of players and tournaments and give both parties an equal share in the sport’s success. The $18.3 million, which represents a 2.7x increase on the previous season, will be distributed to players based on performance at the ATP Masters 1000s in 2024 – a bonus of 25% on top of base prize money already paid at those events.

ATP Chairman Andrea Gaudenzi said “This is exactly what profit sharing was designed to do: ensure that players and tournaments share equally in the sport’s financial upside. $18.3 million is a huge milestone. For us, it’s proof that strengthening the premium product and aligning interests creates value. We’re proud to be strengthening our partnership and building a stronger, more sustainable ATP Tour.”

Reforms under OneVision have driven substantial increases at the ATP Masters 1000 level. The expansion to 96-player draws has increased earning opportunities for more players, widening the number of those able to make a sustainable living from tennis. It has also unlocked a wave of infrastructure investment, with Madrid, Rome, Cincinnati, Shanghai and Paris, among others, raising the bar with upgraded venues that have enhanced the player and fan experience and strengthened the long-term future of the sport.

Profit-sharing results are announced well into the following season, as the nine ATP Masters 1000 tournaments undergo three financial audits to give players full transparency over the economics of the Tour’s top events. 2024’s results raise player compensation across the ATP Masters 1000 tournaments (prize money + profit share) by 18% vs 2023. This comes in addition to a $20.5 million Bonus Pool in 2024.

Profit-sharing also takes ATP player compensation to a record $261 million for the 2024 season – for a total of $378 million when combined with Grand Slam prize money. In 2025, ATP is on track to deliver further compensation records, including $28.5 million in Challenger Tour Prize Money (+28% vs 2024) and a $3 million ATP 500 Bonus Pool (+131% vs 2024).
