Doha is the capital city and most populous city of the State of Qatar. Doha has a population of 1,351,000 in a city proper with the population close to 1.5 million. The city is located on the coast of the Persian Gulf in the east of the country. It is Qatar’s fastest growing city, with over 50% of the nation’s population living in Doha or its surrounding suburbs, and it is also the economic center of the country. It comprises one of the municipalities of Qatar.

No. 5: ATTEND THE EXXONMOBIL OPEN QATAR OPEN
In 1987, tennis as a sport was introduced to the major sports clubs accross the country. Five years later, the ultra modern Khalifa Tennis and Squash Complex was inaugurated by H.H. Sheik Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Father Emir of the State of Qatar.

1993’s Qatar Exon Mobil Open was the first professional tournament that was hosted in this venue with German superstar Boris Becker claiming the title. In 2017, the event celebrated its 25th anniversary with Novak Djokovic crowned champion.
