The Real Federación Española de Tenis (RFET) set a new benchmark in 2025 by allocating a total of €2,887,000 in support for players and professional tournaments across Spain. The landmark figure combines direct aid to athletes with funding for events, underlining the federation’s long-term commitment to building a sustainable pathway to the professional game.

Of that total, €1,115,000 was awarded in scholarships to 37 players, helping them continue their journeys toward the pro ranks. A further €1,772,000 was invested in Spain’s renowned tournament network, often referred to as “La Pirámide,” providing organizers with crucial backing to stage international events throughout the season.

Spain’s current calendar reflects the scale of this ecosystem: it features 12 men’s tournaments on the ATP Challenger Tour, four events on the WTA 125, 70 tournaments on the ITF World Tennis Tour across men’s and women’s competitions, and 28 ITF World Tennis Tour Junior events—the highest number of junior tournaments of any country worldwide. Together, the figures highlight a record year of investment designed to strengthen Spanish tennis from grassroots to elite level.
