M25 Jakarta INA – Tsung-Hao Huang captures maiden title 

The Medco Energi International Tennis Championships 2022, held at Sultan Hotel Tennis Court, concluded with the title win of Tsung-Hao Huang. 

The 22-year-old from Chinese Taipei fought past the tournament’s top seed Konstantin Kravchuk in the semi-finals in three sets. 

Last week’s Jakarta champion Arthur Weber from France booked another spot in the final with a straight-set win against Coleman Wong from Hongkong.

No. 8 seed Huang gained one break more in the title match to prevail 7-6, 6-4 in two hours of play. The Pingtung native celebrated his first singles title on the Pro Circuit. 

M25 Jerusalem ISR – Vladyslav Orlov clinches third trophy of the season 

Vladyslav Orlov triumphed at the Jerusalem Open 2022 hosted by Israel Tennis & Education Centers.

The Ukrainian No. 3 seed knocked off the tournament’s top favourite Louis Wessels from Germany in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

No. 2 seed Filip Peliwo of Poland defeated No. 4 seeded Israeli Daniel Cukierman in the stage of the last four in three sets.

In a close championship match, Kharkiv-born Orlov scored four points less but secured a 1-6, 6-1, 7-5 win after about two hours. The 27-year-old lifted his seventh career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his third this season. 

M25 Monastir TUN – Ugo Blanchet wins fourth title in 2022

Ugo Blanchet emerged victorious at the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, held at Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir. 

The 23-year-old Frenchman cruised past Chinese No. 6 seed Bu Yunchaokete in the semi-finals in two sets. 

Kyrian Jacquet set the all-French final with a straight-set win against his countryman Jurgen Briand.

Blanchet from Saint-Julien-en-Genevois won 78 per cent of his first-service points in the title match and earned two breaks more to succeed 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 after two hours and 13 minutes. The No. 7 seed celebrated his fifth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his fourth in 2022.

M25 Salta ARG – Gustavo Heide remains solid in South America

Gustavo Heide captured the trophy of the M25 Salta 2022, hosted by the venue of Sporting Club Salta.

The Brazilian No. 4 seed battled past Luciano Emanuel Ambrogi from Argentina in the semi-finals in three sets. 

No. 2 seed Gonzalo Lama from Chile reached the final with a three-set win against Argentinian No. 6 seed Matias Franco Descotte. 

Twenty-year-old Heide broke his rival in the championship match two times without facing a break point to seal a 6-4, 6-4 victory in 84 minutes. The Sao Paulo native lifted his fifth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on South-American clay.

M15 Ithaca USA – Shunsuke Mitsui captures maiden trophy 

Shizuoka-born Shunsuke Mitsui is the champion of the Dick Savitt Open, held at Reis Tennis Center.

The 20-year-old Japanese received a walkover in the semi-finals from US-American No. 6 seed Toby Kodat.

Menelaos Efstathiou from Cyprus battled past Irish No. 5 seed Osgar O’Hoisin in the stage of the final four in straight sets. 

No. 4 seeded Mitsui broke his 23-year-old rival in the title match five times and lost two service games to prevail 6-4, 6-2 in 99 minutes. The college player for the University of Tennessee celebrated his first singles title on the Pro Circuit.

“Actually, I played really a really good week here, so I only had to keep doing the same thing in the final.  The most important thing is the mindset, so I didn’t think about playing my first final. I just kept my focus on what to do on court and that helped me a lot for the big points”, Mitsui said after the match.

Asked about the importance of the title, he added: “It means a lot to me.  I won doubles title yesterday and this is my first singles title on the Pro Circuit and hopefully it comes more and more in the future. I try to go for the Grand Slams or some other special places.”

M15 Selva Gardena ITA – Sandro Kopp prevails in South Tyrol 

The ITF $15,000 Val Gardena Südtirol Raiffeisen, hosted by the venue of TC Gherdeina, concluded with the title win of Sandro Kopp. 

The 22-year-old from Austria made the last step to the final by defeating German No. 3 seed Robert Strombachs in three sets. 

German No. 7 seed Leopold Zima ended the run of Italian qualifier Federico Bertuccioli in the semi-finals in straight sets.

No. 2 seeded Kopp won 86 per cent of his first-service points and gained the only break in the championship match to triumph 6-3, 7-6 in 97 minutes. The Schwaz native, who is based at the Estess Tennis Academy in Seefeld, celebrated his second singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his maiden championship on home soil earlier in the season.

M15 Fayetteville USA – Toby Samuel dominates in Arkansas 

Toby Samuel was victorious at the M15 Fayetteville tournament, held at Billingsley Tennis Center, without losing a set the entire week. 

The 20-year-old from Great Britain rallied past Swedish No. 5 seed Olle Wallin in the semi-finals.

Sixteen-year-old junior entry Learner Tien, who was awarded a wild card into the main draw of the US Open this season, won the all-US-American semi-final encounter against qualifier Aidan Kim in two sets.

Winchester-born Samuel capitalized on five of his nine break-point chances in the title match and dropped two service games to seal a 6-3, 6-3 victory in 70 minutes. The No. 6 seed, who played college tennis for the University of South Carolina, lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his triumph on home soil earlier in the season in Roehampton on grass.

M15 Villers-Les-Nancy FRA – Dan Added triumphs on home soil 

Dan Added won the title of the Open Grand Nancy Villers, held at Comite Departemental de Tennis de Meurthe et Moselle. 

The 23-year-old Frenchman fought past Dutch No. 3 seed Alec Deckers, son of former Wimbledon champion Richard Krajicek, in the semi-finals in three sets. 

Boris Fassbender emerged victorious from the all-French semifinal-clash against Lilian Marmousez in straight sets.

Top seed Added fired 15 aces in the title match and won 80 per cent of his first-service points to claim a 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 victory in one hour and 45 minutes. The Strasbourg native lifted his seventh career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Al Zahra KUW – Yanki Erel earns another title on hard court 

Left-handed Yanki Erel captured the trophy of the Kuwai 2 M15, hosted by Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah International Tennis Complex. 

The 22-year-old from Turkey booked the spot in the final with a straight-set win against fifth seed Bekhan Atlangeriev.

Estonian No. 7 seed Kristjan Tamm beat junior entry William Jansen from Great Britain in the semi-finals in two sets.

In the championship match with both players gaining two breaks, top seed Erel withstood 13 aces from his 24-year-old opponent and scored four points more to succeed 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 after one hour and 44 minutes. The Tekirdag native, who clinched the doubles trophy of the Wimbledon Junior Championships 2018 alongside Otto Virtanen from Finland, celebrated his fourth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them achieved on hard court.

M15 Antalya TUR – Rrezart Cungu caps dream week in Belek 

Twenty-four-year-old Rrezart Cungu emerged victorious the Antalya Series, held at Megasaray Tennis Academy in Antalya. 

The qualifier from Montenegro cruised past Spaniard Benjamin Winter Lopez in the semi-finals in two sets. 

Teenager Bruno Kuzuhara from the United States, who captured the trophy of the Australian Open Junior Championships and was ranked World No. 1 as a junior this season, finished the run of Romanian qualifier Mircea-Alexandru Jecan in the stage of the stage of the last four in straight sets.

Bar-born Cungu outpointed his 18-year-old rival in the title match by the score of 85-64 to secure a 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 win lasting about two hours. The former college player for the Wake Forrest University lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his maiden championship on home soil last season.

M15 Santa Cruz BOL – Murkel Dellien takes back-to-back titles in Bolivia

Following his title win at the same place last week, local hero Murkel Dellien was crowned champion again at the M15 Santa Cruz tournament hosted by Urubo Lawn Tennis Club.

The younger brother of tennis professional Hugo Dellien made it to the final with a straight-set win versus Peruvian No. 6 seed Gonzalo Bueno. 

Franco Roncadelli from Uruguay edged out Argentinian No. 3 seed Ignacio Monzon in the semi-finals in three sets.

Twenty-five-year-old Dellien won 83 per cent of his first-service points in the championship match and gained two breaks more to triumph 7-6, 6-3 in 91 minutes. The top seed from Trinidad celebrated his fourth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them achieved on South-American clay this season.

M15 Heraklion GRE – Elmer Moller wins debut title 

Elmer Moller took the title of the M15 Heraklion tournament held at the venue of Nama Golden Beach Hotel in Crete. 

The 19-year-old from Denmark advanced to the final with a straight-set win against Frenchman Benjamin Petri.

No. 7 seed Sidane Pontjodikromo from the Netherlands stopped the run of Australian qualifier Matthew Dellavedova in the semi-finals in two sets. 

Unseeded Moller earned three breaks and 11 points more in the title match to seal a 6-3, 7-5 win after one hour and 47 minutes. The teenager lifted his first trophy on the Pro Circuit.

M15 Sharm El Sheikh EGY – Terence Atmane remains solid in North Africa 

Terence Atmano took the title of the Egypt Men’s Future, hosted by the venue of Soho Square in Sharm El Sheikh.

The top seeded Frenchman took the last step to the final by defeating John Echeverria from Spain in straight sets. 

Kris van Wyk from South Africa eased past Slovenian Bor Artnak in the semi-finals in two sets. 

Twenty-year-old Atmane converted all of his three break-point chances in the championship match and lost one service game to prevail 6-3, 6-4 after 86 minutes. The Bouligne-Sur-Mer native celebrated his third singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour following two title wins in Monastir earlier in the season.

M15 Monastir TUN – Simon Beaupain captures back-to-back title in Tunisia 

Following his championship at the same place last week, Simon Beaupain clinched another trophy of the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, held at Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir. 

The 23-year-old Belgian battled past Bulgarian No. 6 seed Alexander Donski in the semi-finals in three sets. 

Italian lucky loser Andrea Bacaloni continued his great run by beating teenager Xiaofei Wang from China in the stage of the final four in straight sets.

Verviers-born Beaupain capitalized on six of his nine break-point opportunities in the title match and dropped three service games to claim a 7-5, 6-3 victory in 95 minutes. The No. 4 seed lifted his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won this season.

M15 New Delhi IND – Digvijay Pratap Singh earns maiden trophy on home soil

Digvijay Pratap Singh succeeded at the ITF M15 New Delhi tournament, hosted by R.K. Khanna Tennis Stadium.

The 22-year-old emerged victorious from the all-Indian semifinal-battle against No. 7 seeded Niki Kaliyanda Poonacha in three sets.

No. 5 seeded Frenchman Florent Bax edged out US-American top favourite Oliver Crawford in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

In the championship match, No. 3 seeded Singh benefited from the retirement of his 23-year-old rival after winning the first set by the score of 6-2. The Khanpur Khurd native celebrated his first singles title on the Pro Circuit.
