M15 Lodz POL – Pawel Cias returns to winners’ circle on home soil

Local hero Pawel Cias captured the title of the Lodz Cup, held at Miejski Klub Tenisowy W Lodzi.

The 28-year-old eased past his No. 7 seeded fellow Polish Szymon Kielan in the semi-finals in two sets.

No. 4 seeded Maks Kasnikowski advanced to the all-Polish final with a straight-set win versus Czech No. 8 seed Petr Nouza. 

Gdansk-born Cias gained one break and 11 points more in the championship to triumph 6-4, 7-6 after about two hours. The No. 3 seed lifted his fifth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour and his first since 2017. 

M25 Nottingham GBR – Arthur Fery clinches maiden title on home soil 

Arthur Fery won the title of the M25 Nottingham tournament hosted by the Nottingham Tennis Centre.

The 20-year-old from Great Britain defeated Australian No. 4 seed Tristan Schoolkate in the semi-finals in two sets. 

No. 6 seed Daniel Cox set the all-British final with a straight-set win against his No. 3 seeded compatriot Charles Broom.

In the title match with both players earning seven breaks and scoring 107 points, unseeded Fery triumphed 7-5, 2-6, 7-5 after two hours and 44 minutes. The London native celebrated his first singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Tbilisi GEO – Savva Polukhin wins maiden trophy 

Savva Polukhin captured the trophy of the Tbilisi Open, held at Alex Metreveli Tennis Complex.

The Russian fought past No. 5 seed Evgenii Tiurnev in the stage of the final four in three sets.

Bulgarian No. 3 seed Alexandar Lazarov, who represented his country in the Davis Cup and the ATP Cup, booked the spot in the final with a three-set win against Evgeny Philippov. 

Twenty-three-year-old Polukhin gained three breaks and 10 points more in the championship match to prevail 6-2, 6-4 in more than two hours. He lifted his first trophy on the Pro Circuit.

M25 Bacau ROU – Oliver Crawford succeeds in Romania

Twenty-three-year-old Oliver Crawford won the title of the Dedeman Simba Trophy, hosted by Sport Club Municipal Bacau.

The former college player for the University of Florida advanced from the bottom half of the draw, beating Italian No. 5 seed Alexander Weis in the semi-finals in two sets.

No. 4 seeded Tunisian Moez Echargui knocked down No. 7 seed Bogdan Bobrov in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

In the title match with both players scoring 104 points and earning three breaks, No. 3 seeded Crawford withstood 10 aces from his 29-year-old rival to secure a 2-6, 6-3, 7-5 win after two hours and 45 minutes. The Spartanburg native celebrated his fifth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Edwardsville USA – James Kent Trotter earns maiden title 

The Edwardsville Futures, held at Edwardsville High School in Illinois, concluded with the championship of James Kent Trotter.

The Japanese qualifier continued his great run, beating Patrick Kypson from the United States in the stage of the final four in three sets.

No. 8 seed Nathan Ponwith, who played college tennis for the Arizona State University, won the all-US-American semifinal-clash against Sam Riffice in straight sets.

Nishinomia-born Trotter fired eight aces in the championship match and gained two breaks more to triumph 3-6, 6-4, 6-1 lasting two hours and 34 minutes. The 23-year-old lifted his first trophy singles trophy on the Pro Circuit. 

M25 Denia ESP – Nick Hardt prevails at Costa Blanca

Nick Hardt got victorious at the Torneo Orysol Ciudad de Denia, hosted by Club de Tenis Denia.

The No. 2 seed from the Dominican Republic defeated No. 4 seeded Belgian Joris de Loore in the semi-finals in two sets.

Argentinian No. 3 seed Mariano Navone made it to the final with a straight-set win versus Jorge Martinez Martinez from Spain.

In the title match, twenty-one-year-old Hardt broke his rival of the same age four times and lost two service games to seal a 3-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory after two hours and 18 minutes. The Santiago de los Caballeros native celebrated his ninth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Vejle DEN – Chris Rodesch clinches maiden trophy 

Chris Rodesch was crowned champion at the M15 Vijle tournament, held at Vijle Tennis Klub.

The 21-year-old from Luxembourg cruised past Danish No. 4 seed August Holmgren in the semi-finals in two sets.

Dutch No. 7 seed Mick Veldheer, who is based at the Estess Tennis Academy in Seefeld, Austria, advanced to the final with a straight-set win agaisnt Marlon Vankan from Germany.

Angelsberg-born Rodesch converted six of his nine break-point opportunities in the championship match by droppong three service-games to succeed 6-4, 4-6, 6-0 after two hours and 10 minutes. The college player for the University of Virginia lifted his first singles trophy on the Pro Circuit.

M15 Caloundra AUS – Dayne Kelly triumps on home soil

Dayne Kelly captured the title of the Caloundra International #2, hosted by Sunshine Coast Tennis Centre.

In the all-Australian semi-finals, the left-handed veteran edged out Mitchell Harper in two sets.

Last week’s Caloundra champion Dane Sweeny, the tournament’s top seed, booked the spot in the final with a straight-set win versus Isaac Becroft.

No. 2 seeded Kelly broke his 21-year-old opponent in the title match for four times by losing three service-games to claim victory with 6-1, 1-6, 7-5 after two hours and 22 minutes. The 32-year-old celebrated his 15th career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Kottingbrunn AUT – Valentin Vacherot dominates in Austria 

Top seed Valentin Vacherot clinched the trophy of the Kottingbrunn Open, held at Tennis Golf Hotel Höllrigl, without dropping a set the entire week.

The France-born, who is based at the Monegasque Training Camp FMT and represent Monaco in the Davis Cup, cruised past teenager Kalin Ivanowski from North Macedonia in the semi-finals.

Dutch No. 5 seed Max Houkes made the last step to the final by defeating No. 2 seeded Italian Giovanni Oradini, who played college tennis for the Mississippi State University, in straight sets.

Twenty-three-year-old Vacherot won 75 per cent of his first-service points and earned the only two breaks in the championship match to prevail 6-3, 6-4 lasting one hour and 45 minutes. The former college player for the Texas A&M University lifted his fifth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Novi Sad SRB – Nicolas Zanellato caps dream week with maiden title 

Nicolas Zanellato emerged victorious at the M15 Meridiana 1, hosted by the venue of Tennis Club Meridiana, to celebrate his first singles title on the Pro Circuit. 

The Brazilian qualifier finished the run of Peruvian junior entry Gonzalo Bueno in the stage of the last four in two sets.

Tadeas Paroulek from the Czech Republic won the semi-final battle of the qualifiers against Bulgarian teenager Petr Nesterov in straight sets.

Twenty-year-old Zanellato won 75 per cent of his first-service points and earned the only four breaks in the title match to secure a 6-1, 6-2 victory in 76 minutes.

M15 Castelo Branco POR – Jaime Faria wins debut title on home soil

The Internacionais de Tenis de Castelo Branco 2022, held at Albi Sport Clube, concluded with the title win of teenager Jaime Faria.

The Portuguese battled through the bottom half of the draw, beating Kody Pearson from Australia in the semi-finals in two sets.

No. 2 seed Robin Bertrand was victorious from the all-French semifinal-encounter against Raphael Lambling in straight sets. 

Unseeded Faria gained one break and 11 points more in the championship match to succeed 6-3, 7-6 in more than two hours. The 18-year-old lifted his first singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Kuala Lumpur MAS – Nam Hoang Ly earns fourth trophy of the season

Nam Hoang Ly took the title of the M15 Kuala Lumpur tournament, hosted by the National Tennis Centre.

The tournament’s top favourite from Vietnam took the last step to the final by defeating left-handed Japanese Keisuke Saitoh in straight sets.

Former junior’s World No. 5 Yuta Shimizu, the Japanese No. 2 seed, stopped the run of US-American qualifier Andre Ilagan in the semi-finals in three sets.

Twenty-five-year-old Ly capitalized on three of his eight break-point chances in the title match and dropped one service-game to seal a 7-5, 6-3 win lasting one hour and 45 minutes. The Ho Chi Minh native celebrated his ninth hard-court singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his fourth in 2022.

M15 Colombo SRI – Eric Vanshelboim prevails in Sri Lanka

Eric Vanshelboim is the champion of the Sri Lanka Futures 2, held at the venue of the Sri Lanka Tennis Association. 

The 21-year-old from the Ukraine fought past Indian No. 4 seed Digvijay Pratap Singh in the stage of the final four in three sets. 

No. 5 seed S D Prajwal Dev emerged victorious from the all-Indian semifinal-clash against No. 3 seeded Manish Sureshkumar, who won the title in Colombo last week, in straight sets.

Both players scored 71 points in the championship match. Sarajevo-born Vanshelboim struck four aces more than his rival to succeed 1-6, 6-4, 6-2 after two hours and 19 minutes. The 21-year-old lifted his fifth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Monastir TUN – Tao Mu captures maiden title 

Tao Mu clinched the trophy of the Magic Hotel Tours tournament, hosted by Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir, to celebrate his first singles title on the Pro Circuit. 

The 22-year-old Chinese rallied past German No. 2 seed Robert Strombachs in the semi-finals in three sets. 

No. 5 seed Rigele Te set the all-Chinese final with a three-set win against top seeded Tunisian Skander Mansouri.

Unseeded Mu won 79 per cent of his first-service points and broke his 24-year-old rival in the title match four times to claim a 6-3, 6-3 victory in 82 minutes.
