Constant Lestienne and Gregoire Barrere will meet in an all-French singles final at the Open Ciudad de Pozoblanco. Second-seed Lestienne defeated Daniel Masur of Germany 6-4, 6-3 in Saturday’s semi-finals. The World No. 119 struck five aces and won 76 per cent of his first-service points to prevail after one hour and 13 minutes.

Later on Pista Fabian Dorado, Barrere fought past his compatriot and No. 3 seed Ugo Humbert 7-6(4), 7-6(5). In a match with two breaks on each side, the seventh favourite of the €45,730 ATP Challenger hard-court event in southern Spain outpointed Humbert 92-87 in two hours and five minutes.

Barrere leads the head-to-head series with Lestienne 5-4. The 28-year-old is bidding for his fourth ATP Challenger Tour crown, his first since 2019. Lestienne could lift his fifth Challenger career trophy, his second of the season following his triumph in Malaga earlier this month.

Added/Olivetti win doubles title

Two Frenchmen also captured the doubles title in Pozoblanco, as No. 2 seeds Dan Added and Albano Olivetti outlasted the top seeds Victor Vlad Cornea of Romania and Luis David Martinez from Venezuela 3-6, 6-1, 12-10. The encounter lasted one hour and 20 minutes.

By winning their first team title on the ATP Challenger Tour, Added and Olivetti split €2,670 in prize money and earned 80 ATP Doubles Ranking points.
