The 29-year-old Spaniard didn’t face a break point, converting five of his 13 own chances to seal victory in just under one hour of play. Granollers won his fourth ATP Challenger career title, lifting his first trophy on the tour since Kitzbühel 2013.

“It was my first time here, so I feel very good in Irving…I hope to see you all next year, thank you very much,” told Granollers, who only dropped one set during the week. He earns $18,000 in prize money as well as 125 ATP ranking points.

Top-seeds Nicholas Monroe and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi captured the doubles title, winning 6-2, 5-7, 10-4 against Chris Guccione and Andre Sa after one hour and 23 minutes.

“It’s great to be back in Dallas. I played team tennis here as well, and they treat us like family. It’s great to actually win a title here…the foundation and the staff, it’s world class…thank you so very much everybody,” Qureshi said.

“Thanks everyone for coming out. Obviously this is a great tournament. It’s first class, and everyone here really enjoys being in Dallas…I hope to be back next year,” Monroe added.
