M15 Naples USA – Teenager Juncheng Shang remains solid on US soil

Former Juniors World No. 1 Juncheng Shang is the champion of the Naples Men’s $15,000 Emilio Sanchez Academy Florida by BMW.

The 17-year-old Chinese cruised past German No. 7 seed Timo Stodder, who played college tennis for the University of Tennessee, in the semi-finals in two sets. 

Felix Corwin from the United States advanced to the final with a straight-set victory against Brazilian Pedro Boscardin Dias. 

In the championship match, junior entry Shang withstood eight aces from his 25-year-old rival and won 12 points more to secure a 7-6, 7-6 win after two hours and 20 minutes. The Beijing native, who is based at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, celebrated his fourth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them achieved on US-American soil.

M25 Nur-Sultan KAZ – David Poljak wins first 25K title 

The Nur-Sultan Open International Tournament, held at Daulet Tennis Center, concluded with the title win of David Poljak. 

The 25-year-old from the Czech Republic made the last step to the final by beating Kazakh No. 2 seed Denis Yevseyev in three sets. 

Veteran Konstantin Kravchuk won the all-Russian semi-final clash against top seed Evgeny Karlovskiy in straight sets.

No. 4 seed Poljak benefited in the title match from the retirement of his 37-year-old opponent at the score of 6-5. The Ostrava native lifted his sixth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M25 Antalya TUR – Alexander Shevchenko victorious in Belek

Alexander Shevshenko was crowned champion at the Antalya Series, hosted by Club Megasaray in Belek.

The Russian No. 3 seed, who was nominated for the ATP Cup at the beginning of the year, fought past Titouan Drouget from France in the semi-finals in three sets.

Martin Cuevas from Uruguay booked his third consecutive Antalya final with a straight-set win versus Polish No. 5 seed Daniel Michalski.

In a one-sided championship match lasting about one hour, Rostov-on-Don-born Shevchenko outpointed the younger brother of tennis professional Pablo Cuevas 59-30 to succeed 6-2, 6-1. The 21-year-old, who is based at the Tennis Academy of Günter Bresnik in the South of Vienna, Austria, celebrated his fourth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour. 

M25 Santo Domingo DOM – Tung-Lin Wu returns to winners’ circle 

Tung-Lin Wu clinched the trophy of the M25 Santo Domingo tournament, held at Centro Nacional de Tenis Parque del Este. 

The 23-year-old from Chinese Taipei stopped the run of US-American qualifier Alfredo Perez in the semi-finals in three sets.

No. 4 seed Nick Hardt from the Dominican Republic eased past his compatriot and No. 8 seed Roberto Cid Subervi in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

No. 2 seeded Wu broke his 21-year-old opponent in the title match five times to seal a 7-5, 6-3 win in two hours and 10 minutes. The Taichung native lifted his second career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour following his maiden triumph in 2019.

M15 Sharm El Sheikh EGY – Nicholas David Ionel triumphs in Egypt

Nicholas David Ionel took the title of the M15 Sharm El Sheikh tournament, hosted by Soho Square.

The 19-year-old Romanian knocked off No. 3 seed Duckhee Lee from the Korean Rebublic, who captured the trophy in Sharm El Sheikh last week, in the semi-finals in three sets.

Matteo Gigante from Italy benefited in the stage of the final four from the retirement of Colombian qualifier Juan Manuel Benitez Chavarriaga in the second set.

Bucharest-born Ionel capitalized on five of his 10 break-point-opportunities in the championship match to prevail 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 after one hour and 40 minutes. The top seed, who is coached by former tennis professional Andrei Pavel, celebrated his sixth singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Monastir TUN – Francesco Passaro prevails on hard court 

Francesco Passaro emerged victorious from the Magic Tours tournament, hosted by Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir. 

The top seed from Italy took the last step to the final by defeating Maxence Beauge from France in three sets.

Frenchman Terence Atmane beat Oleksandr Ovcharenko from the Ukraine in the semi-finals in straight sets. 

Twenty-one-year-old Passaro gained two breaks more in the title match against his left-handed rival to claim a 7-6, 6-2 victory after one hour and 44 minutes. Following two title wins on clay last season, the Perugia native lifted his third career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.
