M15 Doha QAT – Dragos Nicolae Madaras captures fifth title of the season 

The 6th Qatar Men’s ITF World Tennis Tour 2021, held at Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex, concluded with the title win of top seeded Dragos Nicolae Madaras. 

The Swedish lefty advanced to the final with a straight-set victory versus Kazakh No. 4 seed Beibit Zhukayev.

No. 3 seed Martin Krumich won the all-Czech semi-final clash against last week’s Doha-champion Dominik Palan.

Romania-born Madaras, who represents Sweden, converted five of his nine break-point chances in the championship match to prevail 6-3, 6-2 after one hour and 16 minutes. The 24-year-old lifted his sixth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis tour, his fifth in 2021.

M15 Monastir TUN – Skander Mansouri triumphs on home soil

Skander Mansouri clinched the trophy of the Magic Hotel Tours tournament hosted by Hotel Skanes Family in Monastir. 

In the semi-finals with all top four seeds in action, the 26-year-old Tunisian cruised past Italian No. 3 seed Riccardo Balzerani in straight sets. 

Last week’s Monastir champion Renta Tokuda, the Japanese No. 2 seed, booked another spot in the final with a three-set win against No. 4 seeded US-American Omni Kumar.

Top seed Mansouri fired nine aces in the title match and won 87 per cent of his first-service points to claim a 6-1, 7-6 victory in 81 minutes. The Tunis native celebrated his 10th singles title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, all of them won on hard court.
