ATP Challenger Tour

STARNBERG, December 23, 2021

The 2022 season on the ATP Challenger Tour will be unwrapped in the first week of January with a quartet of tournaments to be held on three different continents, as players hit the hard courts in Australia and Italy as well as the clay courts in South America.

In the lead up to the Australian Open, the Bendigo Tennis Association will welcome the tennis pros in Victoria for the $58,320 Bendigo International. The entry list is led by three players ranked inside the Top 150: World No. 138 Nikola Milojevic of Serbia, World No. 144 Cem Ilkel from Turkey and 150th-ranked Frenchman Hugo Grenier.

Traralgon, a town located in the east of the Latrobe Valley in the Gippsland region of Victoria will host the eighth edition of the $58,320 Traralgon International. The projected top three seeds are all from the Czech Republic: World No. 141 Jiri Lehecka, World No. 142 Zdenek Kolar and World No. 143 Tomas Machac. Both tournaments down under will feature a 48-man draw.

The Dove Men & Care Legión Sudamericana Tigre will be held in Buenos Aires, as Argentina joins the opening-week party. The $37,250 clay-court tournament will be hosted by the Club Naútico Hacoaj. A strong contingent of home favourites will dominate the entry list led by World No. 271 Guido Andreozzi, World No. 303 Santiago Fa Rodriguez Taverna and World No. 313 Genaro Alberto Olivieri.

The first of four tournaments “Città di Forli” in Forli, a city in Emilia-Romagna, Northern Italy, will also take place that week. World No. 215 Jay Clarke of Great Britain, World No. 227 Cedrik-Marcel Stebe from Germany and US-American Christian Harrison, ranked World No. 256, are the projected top three seeds of the €31,440 indoor event hosted by the Cooperativa Tennis Villa Carpena.
