Federico Coria of Argentina captured his third ATP Challenger career title by lifting the trophy of the $52,080 Aberto Da Republica. The top seed of the $52,080 clay-court tournament beat second-seeded Spaniard Jaume Munar 7-5, 6-3 in the singles final at the Iate Clube de Brasilia on Sunday.

Coria capitalized on six of his 14 break-point chances to prevail after two hours and six minutes.

“We were both nervous, which is normal in a final. I was a bit calmer in the important moments of the match and happy to earn the title,” said Coria. The World No. 69 didn’t drop a set all week and pocketed $7,200 in prize money as well as 80 ATP Ranking points.

“I felt welcomed by the public in Brasilia. There is no better way to end the year with the title,” the South American added and will have 10 days of rest before starting to prepare for 2022. Coria finishes the season with 73 matches, 43 wins and two titles after lifting the trophy of the Czech Open in Prostejov in June.
