Hugo Dellien is the champion of the 20th edition of the Uruguay Open, the longest-running ATP Challenger Tour tournament in South America, hosted by the Carrasco Lawn Tennis Club in Montevideo.

The No. 7 seed of the $52,080 clay-court event cruised past Juan Ignacio Londero of Argentina 6-0, 6-1 in Sunday’s singles final. Dellien won 88 per cent of his first-service points and didn’t serve a break point. The 28-year-old from Bolivia broke his opponent’s serve five times to seal victory in one hour and one minute.

By lifting his seventh ATP Challenger trophy, his second of the season following his triumph at the Dove Men & Care Legion Sudamericana Lima in Peru in early October, Dellien earned $7,200 in prize money as well as 80 ATP Ranking points.
