Christopher Eubanks claimed his second ATP Challenger title by lifting the trophy of the $52,080 Orlando Open presented by Nemours 2 held at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida. The 25-year-old US-American battled past Colombian qualifier Nicolas Mejia 2-6, 7-6(3), 6-4 in Sunday’s singles final.
Eubanks defeated Alexander Ritschard from Switzerland, No. 8 seed and compatriot Mitchell Krueger, Nicolas Jarry from Chile and wild card entry Sam Riffice from the United States en route to the championship match.
The World No. 205 from Atlanta, Georgia, fired 16 aces in the final and won 78 per cent of his first-service points to secure victory in two hours and 19 minutes.
Following his maiden triumph at the Leon Challenger in Mexico in April 2018, Eubanks pocketed $7,200 in prize money as well as 80 ATP Ranking points.

Harrison/Polansky win doubles title
In Saturday’s action, Christian Harrison from the United States and Canadian Peter Polansky took the doubles title. The No. 4 seeds eased past US-American JC Aragone and Nicolas Barrientos of Colombia 6-2, 6-3. The encounter lasted 51 minutes.
