M15 Santo Domingo DOM – Daniel Altmaier clinches his third consecutive title

Daniel Altmaier is still the man to beat on the ITF World Tennis Tour. Following his two titles on US-American soil in the last weeks, the 21-year-old German clinched the trophy of the M15 Santo Domingo tournament, which was held at Centro Nacional de Tenis Parque del Este.

The Kempen native knocked off No. 6 seeded Nick Hardt from the Dominican Republic in the semi-finals in straight sets.

German-born Jan Choinski, the tournament’s top seed, emerged victorious from the all-British semi-final clash versus Paul Jubb in two sets.

No. 2 seeded Altmaier outpointed his rival in the final 98-91 to prevail 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 in two hours and 39 minutes. Altmaier, who has been coached by former ATP No. 61 Francisco Yunis since September, celebrated his ninth career title on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his fourth in 2019.

M15 Nonthaburi THA – Duckhee Lee finishes his drought period

Following his last championship in 2017, Duckhee Lee triumphed at the M15 Nonthaburi tournament, hosted at The Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand.

The top seed from South Korea, who was ranked World No. 3 as a junior, battled down French qualifier Florent Bax in the stage of the last four in two sets.

No. 3 seeded Shintaro Imai from Japan stopped the run of Korean No. 2 seed Ji Sung Nam in the semi-finals in straight sets.

21-year-old Lee, who was diagnosed of being deaf at the age of two, capitalized on four of his five break-point opportunities by dropping one service game to seal a 6-1, 6-4 win in the championship match after 75 minutes. The Jechon-born, who won at least one title per season between 2014 and 2017, lifted his 12th career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Telde ESP – Nathan Seateun wins maiden title

The Gran Canaria Yellow Bowl, hosted at El Cortijo Club de Campo, concluded with the victory of Nathan Seateun.

The French qualifier eased past Spanish No. 3 seed Ricardo Ojeda Lara in the semi-finals in straight sets.

Unseeded Alexis Musialek booked the spot in the all-French final by beating No. 7 seeded Spaniard Imanol Lopez Morillo in two sets.

22-year-old Seateun dropped one service game and converted six of his eight break-point chances in the championship match to seal a 6-2, 6-0 win after 65 minutes. He celebrated his maiden trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Cairo EGY – Teenager Daniel Michalski clinches another title in Cairo

Following his maiden title at the same place earlier this season, Daniel Michalski sealed another championship at the M15 Cairo tournament, held at Al-Solaimaneyah Tennis Center.

The Polish No. 3 seed battled past tournament’s top favourite Roberto Ortega-Olmedo from Spain in the stage of the last four in straight sets.

22-year-old Facundo Juarez from Argentina battled through the bottom half of the draw by defeating Italian No. 2 seed Fabrizio Ornago in two sets.

Lasting one hour and 48 minutes, 19-year-old Michalski outpointed his opponent 71-58 to get the final victory by the score of 6-4, 6-3. The Warsaw native lifted his second singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Heraklion GRE – Matija Pecotic captures his fifth title of the season

Left-handed Matija Pecotic got the championship of the 15th Lyttos Beach tournament, hosted at Lyttos Beach Tennis Academy in Heraklion.

The 30-year-old Croatian stopped the run of teenaged No. 3 seed Yshai Oliel from Israel, who was ranked World No. 4 as a junior, in the semi-finals in straight sets.

Artem Smirnov from the Ukraine took the last step to the final by beating Russian No. 4 seed Bogdan Bobrov in two sets.

Belgrade-born Pecotic capitalized on six of his eight break-point opportunities in the title match to seal a 6-3, 7-5 win after one hour and 42 minutes. The No. 2 seed celebrated his fifth title in 2019 and his ninth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour.

M15 Monastir TUN – Aziz Dougaz triumphs on home soil

No. 3 seeded Aziz Dougaz took the title of the Magic Tours tournament, which was held at Hotel Skanes Family,

The Tunisian lefty knocked off top seeded Evgenii Tiurnev from Russia in the stage of the final four in three close sets.

No. 5 seed Jan Satral from the Czech Republic made the last step to the final by defeating Italian qualifier Mattia Frinzi in straight sets.

22-year-old Dougaz converted all of his two break-point chances in the championship match without facing a break point to prevail 6-3, 6-4 in 72 minutes. The Florida resident lifted his fourth career trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour, his second in 2019.

M15 Antalya TUR – Miljan Zekic continues his great series

Miljan Zekic, who has won at least one trophy per season on the ITF Pro Circuit since 2010, clinched his first title in 2019 at the GD Tennis Cup Series, hosted at Kaya Belek Resort Hotel in Antalya.

The 31-year-old Serb advanced from the bottom half of the draw and beat No. 3 seed Ronald Slobodchikov of Russia in the semi-final in three sets.

In the other match, the tournament’s top favourite Pavel Kotov from Russia rallied past Turkish wildcard entry Sarp Agabigun in three sets.

Unseeded Zekic made five points less in the title match than his 21-year-old rival but secured a 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 victory after about three hours of play. The Belgrade native celebrated his 21st singles trophy on the ITF World Tennis Tour in addition to his ATP Challenger title in Todi 2016.

Following his championship in the singles competition, the Serbian veteran captured the doubles trophy together with his countryman and last week’s Antalya champion Duje Ajdukovic.

M15 Maldonado URU – Santiago Fa Rodriguez Taverna prevails 

The M15 Maldonado tournament, which was held at Tennis Ranch Club in Punta del Este, concluded with the championship of Santiago Fa Rodriguez Taverna.

In an all-Argentinean semi-finals, the 20-year-old emerged victorious versus No. 6 seeded Gabriel Alejandro Hidalgo in three sets.

The second favourite Mariano Kestelboim defeated his No. 8 seeded compatriot Francisco Comesana in straight sets.

Coming back from a set down, No. 4 seeded Rodriguez Taverna broke his 23-year-old opponent six times to prevail 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 in two hours and eight minutes. The Buenos Aires native lifted his second career trophy after his maiden title on home soil in Escobar last season
