Jaziri triumphs in Rennes, winning his first title since 2013

Malek Jaziri takes the title of the 10th edition of the Open de Rennes € 85,000 ATP Challenger.

The 31-year-old Tunesian edged Igor Sijsling in Sunday’s final 5-7, 7-5, 6-4. Jaziri saved all two break Points he faced and converted one of his own to seal victory in two hours and 12 minutes.

By claiming his third Challenger Tour title – his first since lifting the trophy in Geneva in 2013 – the world number 109 takes away € 12,250 in prize money as well as 110 ATP ranking points.

Earlier the day, Andrea Arnaboldi and Antonio Sancic took the doubles title, winning the final 6-4, 2-6, 14-12 against Wesley Koolhof and Matwe Middelkoop in 74 minutes.
