Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Dudi Sela will compete in Sunday’s championship match of the €64,000 Cassis Open Provence. Tsonga, the top seed from France, edged past Mikael Ymer from Sweden in the semi-finals, 7-5, 7-6(6).

The World No. 65, who entered the hard-court event with a wild card, fired 16 aces and won 83 per cent of his first-service points to advance in one hour and 49 minutes.

Earlier on Saturday, Sela defeated No. 9 seed Lukas Rosol from the Czech Republic 6-3, 6-2. The 11th favourite from Israel didn’t face a break point and converted three of his own nine chances to seal victory in only 58 minutes.

Tsonga is carrying a 3-0 head-to-head lead over Sela into the final. The 34-year-old Frenchman is seeking his ninth ATP Challenger career title, his first since Surbiton 2007. Sela could lift his second Challenger trophy of the season following his triumph at Little Rock.

Andre Goransson from Sweden and Sem Verbeek from the Netherlands clinched the doubles title. The No. 2 seeds fought past Dutchmen Sander Arends and David Pel, the tournament’s top favourites, winning 7-6(6), 4-6, 11-9. The encounter lasted one hour and 52 minutes.
