Gomez is now into his second ATP Challenger Tour final of the month. Earlier in April he reached the championship match of the Abierto GNP Seguros where he lost to Alexander Bublik. This will be the second Challenger singles final of Gomez’s career.

Next up, it was a rematch of last weeks Sarasota Open final, with Tommy Paul and Tennys Sandgren battling it out for the third time in their careers. The two would stay on serve until late in the first set when Paul made his move and took the opener 6-4. It was the same story in the second set with Paul waiting until 4-3 to break Sandgren and take the match with a final score of 6-4, 6-3. With the win, the 21-year-old US-American is into his fourth career singles final on the ATP Challenger Tour. The Sarasota Open champion will be looking to extend his winning streak to 10 matches on Sunday as he goes for his third title and second on clay. Gomez is seeking his maiden trophy.

In doubles, Thai-Son Kwiatkowski and Noah Rubin defeated Harri Heliovaara and Alex Lawson 6-3, 4-6, 12-10 to book their spot in the championship match on Sunday. Play gets underway on Sunday at 12:00 p.m. with Tommy Paul taking on Emilio Gomez for the singles championship. The doubles final will then follow with Thai-Son Kwiatkowski and Noah Rubin battling it out against Roberto Maytin and Fernando Romboli.
