Daniel Evans advances to the quarterfinals of the Odlum Brown VanOpen

VANCOUVER, August, 20, 2015

Great  Britain’s  Daniel  Evans,  who  was  runner-up  to  Vasek  Pospisil  at  the  2013 Odlum Brown VanOpen, moved into this year’s quarterfinals with a 4-6, 6-3, 7-6(6) victory that saw him battle back from down 5-0 in the third set.

Joining Evans in the quarterfinals are  2014 Odlum Brown VanOpen Men’s Doubles Champion John-Patrick Smith of Australia, who dismissed Jürgen Melzer 6-3, 6-2 in 56 minutes and Bryden Klein  of  Great Britain, who defeated fourth seed Ruben Bemelmanns 6-3, 3-6, 7-6 in two hours and 12 minutes as well as Karen Khachanov of Russia, who knocked off second seed John Millmann 7-6, 4-6, 7-6 in two hours and 44 minutes.
