BAD SALZDETFURTH, October 16, 2018

Dominik Böhler has clinched his third ITF Pro Circuit title. The 22-year-old German won the 12th edition of the $15,000 TNB-ITF-Future 2018, held indoors in Bad Salzdetfurth. Böhler fought past Vadym Ursu from the Ukraine 7-6(8), 4-6, 7-6(8) in Sunday’s final.

Böhler, who suffered from stomach pain and started cramping later in the encounter, capitalized on seven of his 12 break point chances and saved three match points to prevail after three hours and 43 minutes.

“I just kept trying to stay in the match, to hide the pain and go for the shot,” Böhler said. “It was a great match and I am happy to win two consecutive titles.”

The World No. 551 from Germany also lifted the trophy at the Daikin Open at the TennisBase Oberhaching last week. Böhler collects $1,800 in prize money as well as 18 ATP-Ranking points.
